The
Fatima Philosophy of Christian Education
We profess a belief
in Jesus Christ, the Savior. We believe that the Church, as the Body
of Christ on earth,
has a mission to witness to the Christian message, in particular to
its youth. The Catholic school is unique
in that it has accepted this responsibility by providing academic excellence
and an environment which
acknowledges Christ as the core of human existence. Catholic education
at Our Lady of Fatima School is concerned with the total development
of each student, spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially.
This developmentis enhanced by love, primarily nurtured in the home
and sustained in the school. Seeking the guidance of Mary, our Mother, and
the dynamic influence of the Holy Spirit, we accept the challenge of
developing the total child, one who integrateshis faith with his life;
one whose strong self-concept enables him to proclaim the Good News
as he shares his giftsresponsibly in love and service to the community..
Spiritual
Logo
Our Lady of Fatima School
has adopted a logo, which reflects our belief about education as a life
process. The arrows represent the freedom of choice that each of us has
in determining the avenuse in education that our children will travel.
The arrows converge, forming a cross, which reflects our philosophy that
the best education is one that combines academics with a good self-esteem,
based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Spirit
Logo
The spirit logo of Fatima
School is the warrior. We are all true warriors in the sense that we stand
up for what is right and strive to be good citizens by cultivating the habits
of thoughtfulness and consideration. We are unified in our beliefs and our
spirit is alive and well. The students, teachers, administrators, and everyone
in the family are parts of the contagious, heart-warming spirit that is truly
Fatima.
