Our Lady of Fatima Catholic school encourages parents to become involved in their child's education. The school is here to foster the family in the raising of their children, as Catholic Social Teaching confirms, "This includes cultural, ethical, social, spiritual, and religious values. One of the things the family has as its mission is to educate. By fulfilling its mission to educate, the family plays an irreplaceable role and advances the common good of a society." (See Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church, Paragraph No. 238). At Fatima we strengthen this teaching by utilizing parent volunteers. Parents are always welcome to volunteer for events that take place both during the school day and after school. The Parents' Club organizes the parent volunteers and utilizes their strengths for the benefit of our students. Parent volunteers must be Safe Environment trained and up to date on certification.
